Do you own a little black dress? They're a great closet staple because they're so versatile year round! Today I want to show you four little black dress outfits with the brand new Merrick White Collection Ruffle Sleeve Dress.
This dress is buttery soft, stretchy french terry fabric. It's heavy weight and so luxurious — it feels like you're wearing a thick, cozy sweatshirt, but it looks super nice!

Today I want to show you how to wear the black ruffle sleeve dress from the collection, four different ways.
A note on sizing for the dresses
We recommend sticking to your normal size for these dresses. I wear a size extra-small in these dresses, but I'm wearing a size small in this dress because that's the sample size I got from our manufacturer. So this dress isslightlybigger on me than it should be.
The XS is slightly more fitted in the bodice and 1/2″ shorter in length. The dresses get 1/2″ longer with each size up.
I'm wearing an XS in the other dresses that you see at the bottom of the post!
My height is 5'6″ for reference!
Little black dress outfit #1: Simple with patterned shoes
When I put this together, my assistant, Kristy, said it was the perfect dressy teacher outfit! I totally agree. These shoes are super comfy, and this dress is even comfier.
It's made of the softest thick knit material and basically feels like you're wearing a giant high quality sweatshirt. FOR REAL.
To step it up a bit, I added simple earrings and a stack of comfortable bracelets.

Little black dress outfit #2: Winter church outfit
I get lots of questions about what to wear to church in the winter, and this outfit is perfect.
A comfortable dress, a pair of black tights and black dressy boots, then a nice fitted coat over the top. Easy and super warm!
The sleeves on this dress are soft and flexible so they easily fit into a coat without adding bulk.

Little black dress outfit #3: Add some pearls
A little black dress and pearls? Could you get any more classic chic than that? I don't think so.
If you have a nice, but not too fancy, kind of event to attend this year, try this dress with some embellished flats and a headband.

Little black dress outfit #4: Add some holiday glam
Even though this dress is made of a knit material, you can absolutely dress it up! You'll be the most comfortable girl in the room, I promise.
Add some red heels and red lipstick, a fur jacket, and some sparkly earrings, and you're ready for a chic holiday evening.
Another way to dress it up is to swap out the waist tie for a belt.
